Tap your fingers on your eyebrow and
you might HEAL A BROKEN HEART

May even improve your GOLF SCORE

Astonishing physical and emotional healings are being attributed to a modern version of some ancient healing techniques, now simplified and westernized. Lightly drumming of fingers on specific points of the head and chest has proven to relieve stress, stop chronic physical pain and even to mend relationship woes.

Recently called by names such as “energy psychology," “emotional freedom techniques," and “thought field therapy," today’s tapping techniques are radically different from energy healing methods that were used until now. The newly devised tapping methods often work when nothing else will!

My sciatic pain, after suffering 20 years, disappeared in one session. Emotional issues? My close friends will tell you that tears came to my eyes, as recently as a couple of years ago, when I would attempt to describe certain traumatic memories. But today, those traumas have lost their sting.

Best of all, anyone can learn the basics, free, and then ‘do-it-yourself.’

Tapping can be used to heal your own issues and you can teach it to others. In fact, that is the goal of many professional tapping practitioners such as myself, --to teach one person who will then teach tapping to others. Can we heal the world in this way? More about that below.

As a metaphysician and spiritual teacher for over 40 years, I know many healing methods. And while a number of my students have resolved some issues, very often chronic pain and emotional symptoms returned.

No so with tapping. The majority who tap claim that the problems never return!

One popular method that never worked for me was repeating positive affirmations over and over. They only made me feel worse. And that was because I never really believed what I was saying. But the type of affirmations used for tapping are done very differently. Here’s how:

(Diagram of "tapping points" is shown at www.MiraclesCenter.com.)

For emotional and physical issues that are not complex you simply tap on the endpoints of the energy meridians, while verbalizing your negative experience. A setup statement might be, “Even though this headache hurts terribly, I deeply and profoundly accept myself." Or, “Even though I’m still angry at Charlie, I love and approve of myself anyway."

The basic tapping recipe is to tap each of the points lightly and rapidly, 6 or 7 times while reciting the setup statement . I usually start at the top of the head and work downward. In this manner new tappers can recall the specific locations: +top of the head, +beginning of the eyebrow, +beside the eye on the bone, +under the eye on the bone, +under the nose, +under the lip, +on the collar bone, +under the arm.

After a few rounds of tapping , you can insert some ‘reframing’ language so that the negative affirmations gradually shift to more positive ones, such as, “…this headache is going away, …I don’t want to keep this headache."

One round of tapping takes only a minute. People are often thrilled to find that their headache or anger is gone completely after two or three rounds. Complex issues, serious illnesses, are dealt with differently but with similar results.

For clients who resist verbalizing negative statements, I explain, “The negative phrase is used to acknowledge your present experience. We want to bring your present experience fully to your consciousness to heal it. You might say that we are setting-up the bowling pins in order to knock them down."

While this quick and simple tapping method is still in the experimental stages it appears that using the negative statement works better than not using it. While no one has been able to provide scientific proof of how or why this method works, thousands of clinical trials report an amazing degree of success.

Small, small world

You can help others by learning the basic recipe and then teaching it, even over the telephone. I coach people on the telephone all the time. For complex issues, see my website, address below.

For today, I suggest you clip out the illustration. Later, it may help you recall the tapping points. You could also email a copy of this article to friends and relatives to encourage and give them new hope.

Just imagine! This healing modality might someday reach millions of people who have given-up! And millions more who can not receive adequate medical help. When one person teaches others, it can spread worldwide. Can you imagine how this might help the people suffering in the Middle East? Or can you translate the free manual and then email it overseas?

Free instruction

The tapping techniques that I teach in my workshops are quite revolutionary. Tapping works as well for physical pain as it does for cravings. It may be applied to old traumas and cancer.

Golf scores may even be improved with tapping! Why? Because sports performance is often “an inside job." Right? And once we clear our emotions, even our golf game can be better.

As you progress with tapping I hope that you will share your successes with me and your doctor, your massage therapist and with others whom you know in the healing professions.

What if we set the intention to end all pain and suffering in the world? To begin extending these healing techniques to others, I will provide free mini-workshops of two hours each, on Sunday afternoons during the next few weeks in the Tampabay area. Before coming to a workshop, those who want to learn, and/or to teach it, need to read the free 76-page manual offered on my website, www.MiraclesCenter.com . While the manual explains the theory, the workshops will provide the necessary hands-on experience.

Healing professionals can find additional background information about this astonishing healing technology at Gary Craig’s EFT site, www.emofree.com/a/?1919/1 , plus Dr. Roger Callahan’s thought field therapy site, www.tfrx.com , and learn more about energy psychology from Donna Eden’s site, www.innersource.net.
